Good Bye Summer
Good bye summer....Summer for NCLC officially ended August 11th. Although it ended it was great!
The staff along with 25 children made many memories. Here are just a few of the activities that we participated in....

"Field Day" kept the children busy for the day. There were over 200 water balloons, there was basketball, an obstacle course, corn hole, water relays and more.
Other activities that made memories include:
- Ice Cream Sundae making day
- Popsicle on the playground day
- Chalk drawing on the pavilion
- Watercolor painting
** Read 100 books for Pizza** To track our progress the children posted post it notes in the hallway. They would count the books to help keep everyone on track.
**Picnics** The children had lunch outside on Wednesdays during the weeks of VBS.
***Family Picnic*** Oh it was a great success. There was a total of 47 people that attended. The feedback that was received was all positive. Looking forward to next years picnic!
Thank you Families for allowing NCLC to spend the summer with your child/children.

We had several days of water play. The children enjoyed using the recently built "water play wall" in addition to the water tables, sprinkler and of course mud.
"X" marks the spot for our "Treasure Hunt". The children were given maps that led to treasures- necklaces, rings, gold coins and "goodie bags".

Month of the Young Child
It is time to celebrate....
April has been declared
Month of the Young Child!
The week of April 8th is a special week for those organizations, businesses, and individuals that recognize the value and importance of all young children. Across the country there are planned activities during this week that celebrate the young child.
At NCLC we are taking the celebration further by planning special activities throughout the month with planned activities as shown in the calendar below!
The staff at NCLC encourages participation in these activities and invite the parents to do what they can to ensure that the child comes to us ready for the fun filled activity of the day! We also encourage parents to join us, if able on any of the days.
*******Lunch with Your Child *******
You are invited to share lunch with your child at the center. There will be a sign up sheet/ calendar located outside of the learning center office.
*****Save the Date***
The calendar shows "Save the Date" on Friday April 26th....Plans are being made and more information will be sent home when the plans are confirmed.
If you have any questions, concerns or can join us as we celebrate please contact Miss Vicki.
