Dear Parents,

Generally, Northwest Children’s Learning Center does not close for weather-related reasons. We make every effort to remain open, knowing that parents depend on us to provide care. When the schools closed recently we were open to serve you and your family.

The safety of our students, parents and staff is always the most important factor in our decision. With the extreme cold predicted later this week, we are taking the necessary step of closing to insure the safety of everyone.

                 Northwest Children’s Learning Center will be

                       CLOSED Thursday  January 31, 2019

                                                                due to the extreme weather conditions. 

The center will plan to be open as usual on Friday February 1, 2019

I feel that it is the best choice to make this decision now to provide you with more time to make alternate plans.

About our Center

Northwest Children's Learning Center has been providing quality care to children in the South Bend Indiana area for 40 years.

We are a Level 3 in Paths to Quality Indiana's Childcare Quality Rating and Improvement System through the Family and Social Services Administration !

We are a licensed program that participates in CCDF programs and CACFP food program.

We are located outside of the busy city which allows for the children to visually experience nature as the deer, turkeys, and tree frogs can be observed from the building.

NCLC was the first Child Care facility in South Bend to have been blessed with earning the maximum 5 Stars Award.

About our Curriculum

We follow the guidelines of High/Scope which promotes developmentally appropriate practices, and learning through play. For more information click the link below:

We are currently enrolling children between the ages of 1 and 6.

 The center is open Monday - Friday 7:00 am -5:30 pm. 

We offer flexible full time and part time schedules.
